Amato`s Xpress in Auburn

Good food tbh.

For a person from the West Coast this place tastes as Italian as it can B, there's no comparison! the further East you are the more Italian it tastes! & this is an express restaurant! The Calzone that I ate was delicious! Italian flags gleamed from my eyes as I sink my teet into that crusty layer.... heavenly just... oh my! The place has some chairs & tables to seat in but the benches are not padded only the chairs are so if you want to seat comfortably try the chairs or your marshmallows will complain later if you stay a while. Not all the time I enjoy a good Italian dish on a truckstop, this has been a wonderful surprise.

Biased amatos fan. Love their Italian sandwiches and pazzo bread. This is an Express so it's typical for it to have limited seating, I think? Only three tables was why I gave this location 4 stars.

Amatos is the best! The food is amazing, especially their famous Italian sandwiches. (I'm hungry now). They've never given me bad service either.

Good hot food. Waited 15 min for pizza. Great pizza, hot prepared to order. Staff fast and super friendly.

Best sour pickles ever!!!

The sub bread is nice n’ fatty. My nephew and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Watch out for that floor though. Comfy! There aren’t any clams at this establishment, as it’s a gas station. Good meat.

The food and service is good. Truck parking is quickly full.

Ask for no tomatoes on a chicken bacon ranch wrap and still got them, I watched her write it down on paper! This place used to be a great place to stop but not the deal anymore, I won’t be back

Really good subs but they close way before 10pm. Got there 8:30 PM eastern and they had all hot food closed to order so we got what we could. It was good. Nice service to.

Both our orders were wrong. They did remake our order but we had to wait for the re-order. The pizza and calzone was just ok.

Over priced in a big way

I got stuck at this truck stop over the weekend. The two females that are there in the mornings, one with the butt chin and the other with the horse teeth, I guess are racist? I don't know, but 2 for 2 times I could be the first one to order in a line, but some how all the other people in line behind me are able to have their food made and served before my food is even started. Ordered at noon, paid at noon, and 3 couples have been helped and served since then.3 stars cause the food is pretty good when I do get it, But the customer service sucks dick heavy.

This location of amatos is hit or miss. We live nearby so we frequent this location and the attached store. Many times our choice to come Is out of convince only. About 2/3 of the times are worth it, but you never know if your order will be complete. The location appears clean. There is a fast turn around of employees and I believe that effects the consistency of the food service. They often times forget the items you request. It's not uncommon for your Italian to have a requested item missing when you receive it.

This chain used to be great... But there quality standards have gone out the window.I wouldn't even stop here for a quick bite to eat.

Everything's great other than the fact that some of the ready-made Italian sandwiches are soggy because they've been left out.

Don't eat here, they don't want truck drivers business. Been here 2 times recently, the first time I called in an order from 30 min down the road, when I got here I was told they didn't make it. Left without food. Just went in again, no food, closing, don't want to serve drivers. I guess we are only good enough to bring their food. This place is a waste of space, employees don't want to work.

I think they could do better I got a calzone thing there that was only half cooked and their prices seemed high, but maybe that was just a maine thing... You know taxationland.

Food was fantastic for fast food Italian! The guy. That took my order and made my food was awesome. I stop here every time I get in the area!

The bread was old. Not a good Amatos. The one on upper Lisbon st is the best.

Greek pizza & chicken parm was awesome. The service was even better!

Great service from LYDIA !!!!! We had a tasty Chicken Pasta Bake with Bread and 9” Chicken, spinach , extra mushrooms with garlic sauce( per my request ) PIZZA!! Fast and efficient at a truck stop, which is a nice chance from the ordinary burger places! Thanks!! Give Lydia a raise!!

Amazing subs

Convenient location however the credit card machine looks like it hadn’t been cleaned sense new, Italian had one piece of meat and one piece of cheese, and meat stuffers are saturated in grease. Not what I would expect from Amatos.

People are so fast to point out all negative things instead of just focusing on the good . This restaurant is fantastic and the staff is superb and the food is delicious . Thank you to Amato’s Xpress for not just serving a customer but for being genuinely good people that care about other . God bless you and thank you very much.
